Have never went to this car park before, we came in as my father had a hospital appointment, we did not know how to pay as we had never been there, we rang the intercom and the lady on the phone kept saying to “just turn around” as if there wasn’t a huge line of traffic behind us, she also said “there is two of ye work it out yourselves” Then she hung up on us and we rang again and no answer. We rang customer service and it was the same lady she then hung up again. If it wasn’t for a nice man using the car park we wouldn’t have been able to get out at all. All she had to do was tell us to go into the door on the left and pay but no. Horrible woman and extremely rude. About 40 minutes from home at the moment and there is severe floods. Terrible experience never again. Would leave 0 stars but that’s not possible so I give it a 1. On the other hand the other man who answred our second call was lovely, he said the woman on the intercom is based in England. He’s passing my number on boss will be ringing soon.

Parking in Cork

Cork City Council operates a dual payment system using ParkMagic pay by phone and a Disc Parking system of Payment for parking in Cork City Centre on street. Pay parking applies 6 days a week, Monday until Saturday from 8.30am until 6.30pm. ParkMagic uses a bar coded sticker for verification of payment status. These can be obtained from Parkmagic.net or by calling 061 311422.

The City streets have both one hour and two hour parking. Parking Discs cost and Parkmagic payments both cost  €2 which covers the driver for one hour in a 1 hour zstreet or two hours in a 2 hour street.

Cars parked in a Pay Parking area (as indicated by on street parking signs and information plates) must display a valid parking disc or ParkMagic sticker. The Parking limit in each area will be identified by the normal parking sign – the letter ‘P’ in a circle and an information plate showing the time allocated in the area.

Permits for disabled drivers are available from either the Disabled Driver Association or the Irish Wheelchair Association on application. Persons with a Disabled Parking Permit may park free in disc parking zones provided the vehicle has displayed thereon a valid Disabled Persons Parking Permit. Time limits may apply
