Staff are extremely rude. When I rang to complain about it they didn’t care. Over priced and despicable behaviour by staff. Would choose a different car park from now on

Tried to get help at the kiosk only to be spoken to horrendously by a man. He hung up on me spoke over and refused to give his name. I use this car park regularly but I will hit be using it again.

The machine at the exit has been out of service for months and there is never anyone there to help . One of the Payment machines was out of order today and again no one there to assist. Look for someplace else to park

Don't park in QPark Grand Parade if you value your time or need to be anywhere on time afterwards. There is a good chance you'll get stuck at the exit barrier, and you’ll have to wait up to 30 minutes to get out if the car in front of you has any problems with their ticket. I have to park there for work and this is something that happens regularly. In a recent incident an American couple in front of us lost their ticket at the exit barrier. It was about 7:40 pm but there were no staff in the car park to help them out. They pressed the helpdesk button at the barrier and got put through to a call center in the North of England. They were instructed to back up their car and go back into the car park to pay but by now there were 10 or more cars behind them, I was one of them. We were all made reverse our cars backward up the narrow corkscrew exit ramp, a risky maneuver that frightened my children. In the end it took us about 35 minutes before we got out. It felt like we had been held hostage.

Their payment machine does not stamp the card when you pay and end up paying again at the barrier. Check your credit card statement for double charges. Worse still is the amount of time you need to spend trying to get a refund. Fill in a form online, need to upload documentation proof as well. Someone who isn't good with tech wouldn't have a hope.

This car park has always been my preference while shopping in the city as it is close to the English Market and convenience when carrying shopping. I was horrified to get a bill for €12,60 on my last visit which covered three hours and one minute. That minute was probably spent trying to locate the ticket in my bag so I was not impressed. Parking is dear enough in the city centre and they wonder why people don'tshop there. These prices are way over the top. I won't be visiting again!

Parking in Cork

Cork City Council operates a dual payment system using ParkMagic pay by phone and a Disc Parking system of Payment for parking in Cork City Centre on street. Pay parking applies 6 days a week, Monday until Saturday from 8.30am until 6.30pm. ParkMagic uses a bar coded sticker for verification of payment status. These can be obtained from Parkmagic.net or by calling 061 311422.

The City streets have both one hour and two hour parking. Parking Discs cost and Parkmagic payments both cost  €2 which covers the driver for one hour in a 1 hour zstreet or two hours in a 2 hour street.

Cars parked in a Pay Parking area (as indicated by on street parking signs and information plates) must display a valid parking disc or ParkMagic sticker. The Parking limit in each area will be identified by the normal parking sign – the letter ‘P’ in a circle and an information plate showing the time allocated in the area.

Disabled Access and Facilities

Permits for disabled drivers are available from either the Disabled Driver Association or the Irish Wheelchair Association on application. Persons with a Disabled Parking Permit may park free in disc parking zones provided the vehicle has displayed thereon a valid Disabled Persons Parking Permit. Time limits may apply

Off Street Parking
